Experience: DSI has been a leader in providing quality services to individuals with disabilities since 1975. We are currently in 30 counties and will be expanding our services throughout the State of Indiana.
Philosophy: DSI's philosophy for Services is to provide services through an individualized, person-centered approach.
Quality: Services follow the policies and recommended practices of the Bureau of Quality Improvement Services (BQIS), Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services. DSI is surveyed and accredited by the Commission of Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). In addition to the program review, the CARF survey process assesses the organizations' business practices to ensure sound management principles. And finally and most importantly, client, family and guardian input is used as an important part of the quality assurance process.
Staff Training: Staff must pass a comprehensive pre-employment test, interview and background checks.
DSI has a rigorous training program for staff which includes CPR/First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, Seizure First Aid, Client Rights, Client Protection, protection from Abuse/Neglect/Exploitation, Incident Reporting, Defensive Driving, Crisis Intervention, Medication Orientation, Medication Administration, and Core A and Core B Medication Training.
